BECOME A MENTOR
The Harbour's mentorship program matches homeless youth ages 16-21 with a caring, supportive adult mentor for one year or more.
The goal of the mentorship program is to provide a stable, supportive relationship for at-risk youth, while focusing on educational and employment skill development to foster self-sufficiency and success.
Mentors must commit to a time period of at least one year with face to face meetings with youth once every two weeks (at least 8 hours total each month). There may also be group activities and get-togethers throughout the year.
Mentorship activities may include:
* Therapeutic recreation
* Community service projects
* Cultural outings
* Employment assistance (resume writing, job shadowing, exploring possible careers, etc.)
* Skills & career workshop facilitation
* and more!
