A BIG thank you to the following community organizations and businesses who donated items directly to our clients in the hopes of sharing with them the small enjoyments that so many of us take for granted. These donations help us to continue our mission and create a caring environment for our clients:
The Park Ridge Juniors donated over 40 wrapped holiday gift bags filled with gifts for our clients.
The Girl Scout Super Troop, which consists of young dedicated girl scouts from northern Chicago suburbs, prepared and delivered three days worth of casseroles for our Safe Harbour Emergency Shelter.
The Chicago White Sox, The Chicago Cubs, and The Windy City Rollers donated tickets to all of our clients to enjoy games during their 2010 - 2011 season.
Cirque De Soleil invited all of our clients to a dress rehearsal for their most recent show Ovo at the United Center in Chicago.
The AM Kiwanis Club of Park Ridge hosted a pancake breakfast for our clients in which all of the proceeds were donated to support The Harbour programs. They also hosted a garage sale and invited our clients to "shop for free" through all of the donated items to furnish their homes. They provided a furniture delivery service for our clients who were transitioning into their own apartments as well.
