Since September 2014, DeAnna Bellamy has been helping Harbour youth practice physical fitness and healthy nutrition habits. A Certified Personal Trainer with Body Revolution, DeAnna provides nutrition planning and leads weekly workout classes for youth, including "Women Warriors" self-defense classes, boxing, and yoga. Deanna has also supported the well-being of Harbour staff by providing a special class for staff in honor of Social Worker's Appreciation Month.
Deanna cites the energy of youth and the opportunity to share her knowledge and expertise in a community grassroots setting as reasons that keep her coming back to volunteer.
"Working with youth, volunteers, and staff at The Harbour has been an empowering experience. It's a safe community and environment that inspires creativity and super fun collaborative workouts. I've experienced kindness, patience, and respect from everybody at The Harbour and I am so happy to be involved!", says Deanna.
